In yet another classic between these two teams, the Patriots rallied late to defeat the Colts, 27-23. The Colts drove 16 plays, 91 yards, capped off by a Peyton Manning to Anthony Gonzalez 12 yard touchdown pass, to take an early 7-0 lead. The Colts led 10-6 at the half. Both teams launched touchdown drives in the 3rd quarter and Indianapolis still led 17-13 after the end of the 3rd quarter. Brady found Welker for a 9 yard touchdown giving the Patriots their first lead, 20-17, with 14:11 remaining in the game. The Colts answered with two Adam Vinatieri field goals and led 23-20 with 2:20 remaining. Brady worked his typical last game magic driving the Patriots deep into Colts territory. He secured the win with quarterback sneak with 0:15 remaining. Brady completed 28 of 39 for 277 yards and a touchdown. Moss led in receiving with 6 catches, 84 yards.

The Patriots won their 4th straight game in convincing fashion over the Buffalo Bills, 31-10. Brady found Moss twice for touchdowns as the Patriots jumped out to a 14-0 lead. New England led 17-3 at the end of the first half. The Patriots drove 15 plays, 83 yards to open the second half, capped off by a Green-Ellis one yard touchdown drive. Green-Ellis rushed for another touchdown early in the 4th quarter as New England now held a commanding 31-3 lead. The Bills added a touchdown late to account for the final 31-10 score. Brady completed 27-35 for 320 yards and 2 touchdowns. Welker led New England in receiving with 9 catches for 121 yards while Green-Ellis chipped in with 29 rushes for 115 yards.

For the second time in three weeks, Brady led the Patriots to a last minute come from behind win, this time over the New York Jets, 35-31. The Jets dominated early, vaulting out to a commanding 24-6 lead late in the first half. The Patriots battled back and eventually took a 28-24 when Brady connected with Moss for a 10 yard touchdown with 10:15 remaining in the game. Brett Favre led the Jets on a 14 play, 70 yard drive, capped off by a Thomas Jones 3 yard touchdown rush. The Jets now led 31-28. The Patriots had one more chance with the ball, taking over on their own 38 with 1:04 remaining. On the final play of the game, Brady found Moss between two defenders for a 16 yard touchdown.
